One Week Left to Save on the Mequoda Summit!
Discover how to meet the challenges of 21st century online publishing with real-world, hands-on skills using free or low-cost software tools and reports.
We’re all familiar with the aphorism, “Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he will eat for the rest of his life.”
Come to the Mequoda Summit, and we’ll teach you how to fish!
Ok, maybe we won’t have any fishing poles. And we’re not entirely comfortable with taking the fish off the hook, so we won’t be showing you how to do that either.
What we will be doing however, is enabling you to stop spending money on trial and error when it comes to your online business. Instead, we’ll show you the strategies of other publishers who are “making it” in online publishing so that you can replicate them in your own business model.
Publishers of all sizes and niches like BusinessWeek, Taunton Press, Business & Legal Reports and Dream of Italy will be in attendance to brainstorm along with you.
But if you want to attend, next Wednesday September 30th, is the last day that you can register at our early-bird rate of $1297 per person, or $1097 if you register more than one person.
Here’s a brief overview of what happens at the Mequoda Summit:
- Publishers, editors, journalists, copywriters, circulation directors, website architects, usability engineers, creative directors, website designers, Internet strategists, and all online marketers of newsletters, magazines, books and other information products join for two days in Boston to discuss their online publishing strategy.
- Attendees will make dozens of new valuable contacts that (if history repeats itself) may eventually turn into life-long business friendships, partnerships and sponsorships.
- Several publishers present their own case studies on how they’ve been successful with strategies having to do with membership websites, SEO and other important areas of business development and revenue generation.
- Don Nicholas and the Mequoda Research Team will present information-packed sessions that include topics like analyzing your online market; researching Google keywords for search engine optimization; designing your online system; choosing the right landing page templates; managing editorial content; and building incoming links. Also, marketing your email newsletter; developing additional products; your social media strategy; hiring staff and building teams; measuring results; and managing your business plan.
- Attendees will receive a valuable software tool or report, and thorough instruction in how to use it along with each session, so they can continue to update and enhance their new skills once they’ve left the Summit.
- Attendees will leave with a renewed sense of empowerment and motivation to do what it takes to “win” in online publishing.
Remember, the biggest blogs have still only been around for several years. Publishers ARE still in the game; we just need to catch up. We have the content and the power of our brands. We just need to step up and start organizing around our new goals.
If you’re ready to discover and face your online competition in 2010, attend the Mequoda Summit Boston 2009.
