The Interviewees

Robert Buderi – Before founding Xconomy, Robert was a research fellow in MIT’s Center for International Studies. He also has served as Editor-in-Chief of MIT’s Technology Review. During his time there the magazine received editorial and design awards. Buderi was also responsible for overseeing the induction of electronic newsletters.

Furthermore, Bob has served on the Council on Competitiveness-sponsored National Innovation Initiative and as an advisor to the Draper Prize Nominating Committee.

He’s appeared on CNBC’s Strategy Session as a regular guest and has written three books on technology and innovation over the years.

Steve Woit – Steve is the Founding Publisher of Xconomy. He is also the founder of Riga Ventures, a firm that invests in media, software, and internet businesses. He also worked for International Data Group (IDG) for 17 years overseeing the launch of new publications and web-based businesses.

Steve has seen the jobs of publisher and president behind Federal Computer Week, President of Web Shopper, EVP of Computerworld, and Director of Business Development and Vice President of new products for IDG worldwide.
