From Q3 to Q4, the tablet market grew from 3.3 million tablets sold to 4.8 million.

The report from IDC also makes an overall prediction for the tablet market in 2011 and 2012. In 2011 the company expects the market to grow to 44.6 million devices shipped, up from 17 million in 2010. For 2012, IDC forecasts that 70.8 million tablet devices will be shipped.
