It appears that email marketing is popular enough that 31 percent of B2Bs between March 2013 and March 2014 only spent money to advertise in email, reports MarketingProfs. The remaining 69 percent advertised in email in addition to online or print.

As for ad placement in the emails, most industries focused their ads above the fold (Healthcare, Construction, Manufacturing, Industrial), although a few did place their ads below the fold (Agriculture, Auto).

As for the amount of ad placements used in B2B email newsletters, one ad was used by 30 percent of companies. Two and three ads were both used by 18 percent of B2B. The amount of ads used decreased after three ads used, as 10 percent used four ads and seven percent used 5 ads. However, more than five ads was used by 17 percent of B2B companies.
