Mobile Devices Rule In Canada

It’s being reported by eMarketer that mobile devices account for the majority of online time in Canada.

According to the article, “…adults in Canada spent 27 hours and 49 minutes per week on the internet, 53% of which was spent on mobile devices including smartphones and tablets. Nearly 9 hours per week of total mobile time was spent with nonvideo activities, vs. just under 4 hours per week of nonvideo internet activities on PCs.”

This data was a bit higher for millennials online, which isn’t too surprising. In fact, they’ve been spending more than 16 hours a week with digital media. TV, radio, and print were all used less than digital media for millennials, as digital accounted for 55% of all the weekly media time spent for the 18-34 age group.

I’m going to make a bold prediction and say that the amount of time spent with digital will continue to increase over the years…
