The Amazon Fire tablet might be getting some more attention soon, as The Washington Post has released a new exclusive tablet app.

The app is coming with a free six month subscription and an over-the-air update for the Amazon Fire.

Talking New Media is reporting on this story, and also pointing out the fact that Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, is also the owner of The Washington Post.

The article from Talking New Media lists five features of the new app. Here’s a look at a few of them:

  • “Pinch View” helps the browsing functionality. “Readers can easily swipe through an edition as if they are flipping through the pages of a magazine, getting a bird’s eye view of the entire content offering, along with the ability to simultaneously read the stories.”
  • Stunning Visuals
  • Deeply engaging “Read View”
  • Intuitive Navigation
  • Packaged for the Tablet Reader
