Find Online Publishing Jobs Using Social Media

LinkedIn Career Explorer combines social media and recruiting

Career Explorer on LinkedIn is a valuable new tool that matches up college graduates who are looking for full-time jobs or internships and the companies who want to hire them.

With over 70 million users, LinkedIn is a good place to start, whether you looking to hire or to get hired. Here are a few tips about using LinkedIn and Career Explorer, first for employers and then graduates.

Promote your company

Do you have an online publishing job you’d like to fill? Make a good first impression. Keep in mind, job seekers research potential employers more now than ever before. Do you have a company profile on LinkedIn? Is it up to date?  Does the company summary accurately represent what you do? Have you listed all of your current job openings?

As a potential employer, you can now sponsor “featured jobs” to get top billing on the Career Explorer job listings. For example, PricewaterhouseCoopers is paying millions to promote careers at its company.
