First of Time Channels on Roku Will Be MyRecipes

Screen Shot 2014-06-16 at 1.47.53 PMTime Inc.’s bid to play catch-up in the digital realm will include its first streaming channel on Roku. The MyRecipes channel will feature 250 videos in 12 categories, according to Ad Week.

“We want to connect with consumers wherever they are consuming video content and Roku is a leader in streaming entertainment,” Time Inc.’s J.R. McCabe said in a statement.  “MyRecipes is the perfect brand to launch this new partnership with its wealth of content and passionate audience base.”

The channel –which will integrate content from properties including Cooking Light, Food & Wine, and Southern Living – will be accessible to viewers in U.S., Canada, the U.K., and Ireland.

Time Inc.’s strong emphasis on digital video began last year with the launch of its digital video unit.
