Flipboard, the digital magazine app, received an update recently. Flipboard version 3.0 brings some new functionality to iPhone and Android smartphones.

Among the notable changes includes the integration of Zite’s technology, which analyzes content and brings the reader the topics that interest them. This integration seems like a no-brainer as Flipboard acquired Zite back in March 2014. Furthermore, the new version of Flipboard has over 30,000 topics for users to browse and follow.

Talking New Media reports on new features of Flipboard 3.0. “Flipboard has also created what it calls “The Daily Edition” – its own, curated collection of news stories, available for reading by 7:00 a.m. local time, with editions for U.S., UK, Latin America, U.S. Latino, Brazil and India.”

It seems that Flipboard is putting in more effort to reach the mobile audience while providing a lot of great, curated content.
