The above quote from Albert Einstein touches on a life lesson, yet relates directly to a business concept I recently heard from Carl Kravetz, publisher of Vida y Salud.

Carl has developed a multitude of online partnerships that have allowed Vida y Salud to become a market-leading organization with minimal internal staff.

In seeking out partnerships, Carl has focused on the notion of balance to achieve the precise relationships he knows will lead to success.

In every instance, Carl looks for the balance of what each partner can do for one another and whether money should change hands. During an interview at the Mequoda Summit West 2011, Carl told me that each partnership he is engaged in is different, but they all have to abide by the same mission of helping Latinos live healthier lives by supplying them with useful information. That is the main filter he used while analyzing each potential partnership, and the criteria for reaching a balance between partners.
