It’s obvious that avoiding grammatical mistakes is important. You always want to put your best foot forward by having polished content. In today’s digital world where content is produced often, more employees are taking on the job of copy editor, regardless of their prior knowledge.

A recent article on eMedia Vitals discussed the reinvention of the copy editor.

The main part of the article that resonates with me is the necessity of being flexible. With all the changes that take place in the digital landscape, it’s important to go with the flow of these changes to stay relevant. Mobile devices and social media like Twitter have drastically reduced the length of the content required. The best copy editors are those who can be very succinct and personal with their communication through these mediums.
