In a move that is sure to thrill struggling journalists across the world, Gus Wenner, the 23-year-old son of Rolling Stone founder Jan, has been promoted to head of digital for Wenner Media, taking over for the recently promoted David Kang.

One year after taking over the editorial and business operations for Rolling Stone.com, Gus Wenner will now also handle the websites for Us Weekly and Men’s Journal, Ad Age reported last week. RollingStone.com saw a 40% increase in site traffic during the past year, up to 7.6 unique visitors, according to comScore. Gus Wenner is currently leading its redesign, which is due in the coming months. Us Weekly will see a redesign soon, as well.

“I don’t think my age matters,” Gus Wenner told Ad Age. “I think it’s about the job we do and the progress we make. I have a lot of faith in my dad’s judgment — it’s an honor — and there’s a massive task at hand. It’s about the accomplishments going forward and keeping the momentum going.”

Wenner also said he will aim for Men’s Journal to produce more content and feature more video.
