Mediabistro’s FishbowlNY reports on a busy week in publishing personnel comings and goings.

Here’s a snapshot:

  • The Time Inc. Board will include Joe Ripp (chairman), David Bell, John Fahey, Manuel Fernandez, Dennis FitzSimons, Betsy Holden, Kay Koplovitz, J. Randall MacDonald, Ronald Rolfe, and Howard Stringer.
  • Mitzi Miller is the new editor-in-chief at Ebony. “Mitzi is a gifted editor with tremendous energy and passion, and her strong editorial background will catapult the Ebony brand to greater heights,” Johnson Publishing CEO Desiree Rogers said. “We are thrilled to have Mitzi in our JPC family and are excited to see the new direction she will bring to the magazine.”
  • Ryan D’Agostino has left Esquire to become the editor-in-chief at Popular Mechanics, succeeding Jim Meigs.
  • Bloomberg Businessweek’s gifted creative director, Richard Turley, is leaving for MTV.
  • Theresa Griggs will take over as creative director at Cosmopolitan on May 12. “Theresa is a superb magazine designer and I’m thrilled she’s coming on board,” Editor Joanna Coles said. “She’s the final piece of the puzzle to the team I’ve assembled at Cosmo and I look forward to evolving the look of the magazine with her.”
  • AMI has named Christopher Dolan the new publisher of Muscle & Fitness.
