Talking New Media reports on Saveur getting a new editor starting October 6. The interesting part of this change is that the new editor, Adam Sachs, was the editorial director for the website Tasting Table. This website shares content on great restaurants, chefs, events and recipes.

Clearly, Saveur is picking a good person for the job. Sachs has knowledge of the content and is coming from a website, so his knowledge of the digital space will be invaluable to a publisher that hasn’t taken to digital publishing. As TNM puts it, “With an editor coming over from a food website, now may be the time for Saveur to rethink what the magazine can accomplish online and within its digital editions.”

Prior to working for Tasting Table, Sachs worked with both Bon Appetit and Travel + Leisure.
