Are all free PR sites equal?

[question]

We’re just finishing off our press release. Some free press release sites don’t look terribly professional, but would it still benefit us (with regard to google at least) to get our press release as widely spread as possible?

[answer]

Unless the PR site is known as a spam-bot to Google, your press release should go as many places as possible. We wrote an article a couple months ago called Best Paid and Free Press Release Sites, which lists dozens of credible free PR sites that we’ve used in the past and have been recommended to us. That would be a good place to start.

Our most recommended site is PRLog.org because it has shown to give press releases the highest rank in search engines. PRLog.org allows you to have clickable links, one image, company logo, and multiple tags/keywords.
