Do I need to publish on multiple eReader platforms?

[question]

What about content exclusivity deals with different platform providers, will I need multiple platforms just to access my desired content?

[/question]
[answer]

From a consumer standpoint the answer could very well be yes. The retailers (Sony, Amazon and B&N) will soon start working on remit rates, position, and special promotions in return for exclusivity with big publishers.

If you’re not a big publisher though, you have the option to distribute yourself, and put your products on as many platforms as you want, for 100% remit rates.

Companies like Letabund and Constellation are going to start springing up more and they’ll do the formatting and grunt work in order to get your content delivered on as many different platforms as you need.
