It’s always nice to see how much media consumption is taking place in areas where your audience exists.

eMarketer is sharing its forecast on media consumption by adults in the UK. “According to the latest time spent with media forecasts from eMarketer, the average time spent consuming major media per day for the average UK adult consumer will reach 9 hours, 6 minutes in 2014, up from 8 hours, 35 minutes last year.”

Digital is getting more attention than TV, radio and print. This year, digital accounts for 4:05 hours. TV is the closest medium at 3:15 hours.

Digital is then broken up between desktop/laptop and mobile, which accounts for smartphones, tablets, and featured phones.

Desktop/laptop accounts for the most time spent in the digital category, at 2:10 hours daily. Smartphones come next at 1:16 hours spent.
