Why do you list the 9 ways to generate revenue in a pyramid?

[answer]

As you’ve learned, revenue generation can take many forms online. The hierarchy of the pyramid is meant to represent how much responsibility and effort is going to be required on the part of the publisher to execute against these different business models.

We put these in a pyramid to try and boil them down to the concept of: what are you selling and who are you selling it to? So the hierarchy, simply other than understanding that these are all available to you as options, is thinking about the amount of work and the amount of accountability that’s involved.
