February tends to be a cold and dreary month, but we decided to heat things up at Mequoda Publishing Network. We collaborated with some great partners and can’t wait to share them with you! So go ahead, bundle up, make a hot cup of tea, and peruse the latest offerings that will help fight the winter blues.

National Garden Bureau have two informative hour-long webinars that are completely free to attend. NGB’s expert panelists will dive into the world of hostas in one webinar and some key plants for butterflies in the second webinar. The best news, if you can’t attend live, no problem! Still register and you will receive the webinar recordings to listen to at your leisure.

Experience Life is helping us start our Spring cleaning with their “5 Tips to Declutter” guide. Do you sometimes snack mindlessly on mediocre food? Buy clothes that don’t really fit? Binge-watch TV shows when you really need sleep? You’re not alone. Our culture has become almost fanatically centered on consumption of all types, and it’s affecting our health, happiness, and well-being. Download this declutter guide and find five strategies that can help you reduce, reuse, and rejoice!

CowPots is an amazing product that we were first introduced to at MANTS. These are the pots that you can plant. Made from composted cow manure, these pots are a great environmental solution that supports healthy soils for gardeners all around the world. The top 3 reasons we love CowPots: less plastic to throw away, easy transplanting, and healthy roots. Enjoy 20% off with code FGNCP20.

We also had an insightful guest post from author Erica Browne Grivas “Reasons to Love Heart-shaped Tomatoes”. Do you know about heart-shaped tomatoes? They are called “oxhearts” because they resemble a bull’s heart. Your farmer’s market may carry the most well-known one, the French heirloom called ‘Coeur de Boeuf’ in French, which translates to “heart of an ox”. But there are many more you need to meet. Read more about them; they are truly fascinating.

I hope you are all staying warm and weathering this long Winter with ease. I am reminded that Spring will be here before we know it. By then I will be elbow deep in soil and weeds. The books that I had planned to read will be pushed to the side as I spend my days out in the sun. Actually, I should probably go get some reading time in now while I have a chance!
