Hearst Magazines U.K. are launching a new magazine focused on the bridal industry, reports Women’s Wear Daily.
Elle Wedding will be launched on September 9 with a 200-page issue. According to WWD.com, the content will range from “bridal beauty, fashion, accessories, travel and wedding planning inspiration, all under the tagline of “individuality not conformity.”
Clearly, Hearst is a major magazine, so it’s not too surprising that they have the ability to launch a new magazine. However, it’s still somewhat surprising, in a time when many publishers are shying away from print.
According to the article, it appears Elle has found an opening for this niche. “There is no other luxury bridal magazine like it on the U.K. newsstand. Elle Wedding reinvents the concept of bridal titles and will help the bride showcase her own style.”
The Elle website will also include more wedding content, too.
