Google News aggregates headlines from more than 4,500 English-language news sources worldwide, groups similar stories together and displays them according to each reader’s personalized interests.

If you’d like you site included in Google News, contact them, and submit your site’s URL, making certain to meet their stringent technical requirements.

Google provides the following advice:

In order to be included in Google News Alerts, an article must be included in Google News and appear in the top ten results of Google News for specific search terms.

To see if a site is included in Google News, use our “site:” operator. Type the site’s domain, for example [ site:url.com ], into the search box and click “Search News.” If a site isn’t currently included in Google News, click here and we’ll be happy to review it for inclusion.

Articles sent out as a Google News Alert must be within the top ten Google News results for specific search terms (the terms that triggers the email alerts). This means that if an article appears in the top ten Google News results for the search term [ ocean ], anyone who’s signed up for the News Alert [ ocean ] will receive that article, along with the nine other articles in the top ten.
