Major digital publishers want editors who have digital knowledge in addition to their editorial expertise. It’s also helpful when a new digital editor joins a publishing where there’s already familiarity.

This is the case with Travel + Leisure magazine, which has hired Nathan Lump as its new editor. Lump is no stranger to Travel + Leisure, as he worked with the magazine from 2000 to 2006.

Media Bistro reports on this story, with a quote from Evelyn Webster, the executive VP at Time Inc. “Nathan’s deep digital knowledge and vast editorial expertise make him the ideal choice to further Travel + Leisure’s stature as a powerful multi-platform brand serving customers in print, digital, mobile, video, and events,” stated Webster.

Lump will rejoin Travel + Leisure on September 8. Prior to taking this position, Lump was in charge of branded content for Conde Nast.
